Warts

Warts can be easily diagnosed by examining them physically and check for any sign of dark, pinpoint dots suggesting clotted blood vessels. Shaving a part of the wart and sending it for biopsy can throw further light on the nature of the disease. Homeopathic medications are highly effective for warts and has treated numerous patients with warts.

  • Antimonium crude
  • Causticum
  • Calcaria Carbonica
  • Lycopodium clavatum
  • Nitric acid
  • Silica
  • Thuja Occidentalis

Warts appear on the skin as small, rough growths that can have the appearance of a cauliflower or solid blister. Most commonly seen on an individual's hand, they can appear in other areas of the body as well.

Warts, even though embarrassing and painful for the victim, are seldom harmful or cancerous. They are caused by a strain of virus called human papillomavirus(HPV). This virus causes infections that are contagious and infects the skin or mucous membranes like genitals.

Based on the location of the warts, they can be grouped into common warts, flat warts, filiform warts, plantar warts and periungual warts.

Special attention needs to be paid to warts around genital areas as they may lead to cancerous growth around the area. Genital warts in women can contribute to cervical cancer.

Warts are generally recognized by flesh-colored, white and/or pink bumpy growths on the skin.
